Add-on substage LED illuminator for cordless operation. LED element equal to 20W tungsten bulb, powered by 3 AA rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries. Each 8 hour recharge provides 40-50 hours of use. Recharger included and plugs into any 115V wall outlet. Use on any microscope that normally accepts the National Optical 900 illuminator.
